dog watching sunset

We accept dogs at a cost, however site rules do not allow dogs between 6th July to 31st August.

It’s not a family holiday without the dog, forget the kennels and bring your best friend to Cornwall. Step outside your chalet door and lose yourself following the many footpaths down to the 3 miles of golden sands to the beach.

With great views across the beach to Gwithian Lighthouse, you have the dog friendly cafe Sunset Surf and less than a mile down the road in the village of Gwithian is the Red River pub serving great food and is also dog friendly. Follow the coast road past the famous Hells Mouth Cafe and you come to Tehidy Woods, great for dog walking with a cafe for refreshments.

For those that prefer not to walk as much, you have the local car park (2 minutes drive away) or the National Trust car park at Godrevy, both overlooking the beach and perfect for watching some of the best sunsets in Cornwall. Our beach chalets are perfectly situated for all your destinations, however as many of our returning customers realise, leaving their car parked at the chalets and exploring the miles of sand dunes is hard to beat.

Fabulous chalets .. extremely clean and on a super site .. everything was perfect .. comfy beds and all you need to relax and enjoy the delights of beautiful cornwall .. the park is low key with a mix of caravans and tents as well as the lovely chalets which are situated near the dunes .. it’s a pleasant walk across the dunes to the amazing beaches at hayle we took our doggy and she loved it. A good 20 minute walk its quite hilly might be a bit much with toddlers .. buckets .. spades etc (saying that the sand dunes next to the chalets were great fun for all the children to bodyboard down .. hours of fun ! )but only 5 mins by car ! Would definitely visit again.

Brilliant location great dog friendly and just fantastic people you should come and enjoy the rest and relaxation good for walking and the beach is just great

My 4 year old didn’t want to leave. In fact, she asked if ‘Clotted Cream’ could be our new home. I think our dog would probably say the same as well if he could speak. The proximity to the dunes is ideal for (responsible) fun for kids and dogs alike and the chalet is great. Well appointed, comfy beds and nicely decorated, it was perfect for our needs. Would definitely return if we visit this part of Cornwall again.
