Surfing water temperatures are increasing and many surf schools will open from the Easter period onwards.
Our beach chalets are within walking distance of the beach or just 2 minutes by car. We have a three mile stretch of beach, starting from the northern end working south – Godrevy – Gwithian – Sandy Acres (Mexicos) and the Bluff. They all have different qualities and are suitable for seasoned surfers – surf schools – windsurfers – kite surfers and body boarders.
With two car parks, Godrevy and Gwithian both have spectacular views and an abundance of parking. Godrevy cafe with its sea views is good for breakfast and lunches. Sunset Surf, good food with a beer you can also hire surf boards. We have Gwithian Academy of Surfing and Pasty Adventures Kitesurfing School.
Nearby shops include ‘Down the Line’ in Hayle and Tombstone Surf in St Erth, both top notch and supply the best gear. With the Atlantic breeze and constant swell, all patrolled by R.N.L.I. lifeguards Gwithian is the perfect spot no matter what your expertise. Nearby is Porthmeor Beach (St Ives) with St Ives Surf School great Cafe and Bar.
