The beach can be found with rock pools teaming with life – small caves waiting to be explored & some of the best surfing in Cornwall. Even at the height of summer the beach is never overcrowded & with patrolling life guards it allows you to relax while the kids have fun.
Beautiful walks along the coastal footpaths can take you as far as your day will allow & with a little luck you may see dolphins & seals.
An idyllic setting nestling in 7 acres of sand dunes. Our self catering chalets sleep 2-6 people and are on a small family run site. All are decorated & furnished to give a relaxing beach side holiday atmosphere.

My partner and I stayed for a week last September. We traveled down from Scotland, as my partner has never visited Cornwall before, and she loved it. We spoke to Michelle a few times, she was very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The chalets were very clean and tidy, the site was nice and quiet, close to the town of Hayle, and St Ives. The beach is a short walk through the dunes and WOW what a beach it is…..Amazing… We are hoping to be back down in June again… lovely accommodation…
We have enjoyed the most wonderful holiday at Twice as nice Beach Chalets. The location is ideal, the chalets were fantastic, well equipped with a beautiful decked area and BBQ. Chalets are positioned well on the site with lovely views and the beds were so comfortable-everyone slept soundly. Michelle was very welcoming and offered some great recommendations for local places to visit and eat. The dune walk to the beach became an exciting adventure for our two boys, we did this most days. We also enjoyed many beautiful, peaceful nature walks with various paths to choose with breathtaking views. For a full family day out at the beach we did take the car loaded with what we needed.
Bucket and Spade was a great chalet to stay in. It was very clean and comfortable with all mod cons which were of a good quality i.e. comfy mattress! and was something different to staying in a cottage. The kids loved their ‘beach hut’ and the outdoor space meant they weren’t confined and could safely run around. The site was quiet and had great access to the sand dunes and a gorgeous 3 mile stretch of beach with a lovely surf cafe close by. The local area of Hayle was a 5 minute drive away (bit too far to walk) and had 2 large supermarkets and lots of independent retailers. The area was quieter and far nicer to walk round than the larger places such as St Ives which was nice for a day trip but very very crowded. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay and would return in the future.
